SP Optimist Club names Gavol as Middle Level Leader

Kassie Gavol is the Optimist Sauk Prairie Middle Level Leader for January. and was honored on January 15 at the SP Optimist meeting. She is an 8th grader and the daughter of John Gavol and Andrea Wyttenbach Gavol. Kassie was nominated by her teachers on Team L. They had this to say about Kassie: “In a class of over two-hundred students it can be hard to stand out but Kassie Gavol is an eighth grader that makes SPMS proud. Eighth grade teachers consistently ask their students to be leaders within the school and community and Kassie is an excellent role model for this covenant. This extends beyond the classroom. Kassie is the president of the Student Council. Within our classrooms, Kassie is an outstanding student that maximizes her opportunities and is a role model as well as leader by her actions. She is respectful and intentional about learning and practicing academic skills. Kassie has personality and purpose that permeate her actions everyday. Kassie is a leader at SPMS and in the vision of the Optimist Club, Kassie provides hope, a positive vision, and brings out the best in others.” Kassie is involved in Student Council, Show Choir, Cross Country and is a Mentor. Outside of school, she participates in club basketball and dance. Looking to the future, Kassie dreams of one day being a teacher, lawyer or maybe even the President of the United States!
