St. John’s fills 232 backpacks for the underprivileged


St. John’s Lutheran Church in Prairie du Sac has completed its annual backpack project by filling 232 backpacks. Each backpack contains 4 spiral notebooks, 1 box of crayons, a pencil sharpener, scissors, ruler, eraser, 5 pens and 5 pencils. These backpacks are sent to Lutheran World Relief where they are distributed to those children who cannot afford backpacks and school supplies. Pictured above are those who helped this year: Jeff Nimmow, Ruth Dressser, Linda Hines, Pastor Fred Rilling, Ginny Nimmow, Maren Boerger Andersen, Barb Salveson and Marilyn Herschleb. Others who helped but not pictured were Dale Haroldson, Bev and Roger Clason.
