Free Congregation celebrating reopening of Park Hall


The Free Congregation of Sauk County is celebrating the completion of their Historic Finishes Renovations at their home at Park Hall, 307 Polk St., Sauk City on June 25th. All are invited! The festivities begin with Ribbon Cutting with the Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce at 10:30 a.m., tours and music in the Hall, a presentation on the Badger Apple Corps apple trees planted on the lawn at 11:00 a.m., a reopening program beginning at noon, food stands from 11-2 p.m., an ice cream social (Culver’s custard) from 1 p.m. until gone, horse drawn carriage rides with narration from 1-3 p.m., games for all ages, hopefully outside, 1-3 p.m., and videos and displays downstairs all day. It’s a great day for families and persons of all ages. The events are free but donations will be accepted. The Historic Finishes Project consisted of replastering and repainting the walls, cornices, and ceiling and the designs on them, redoing a found mural under the former wall board, and refinishing the wood floor in the main Hall.
