Benish cruises in 81st Assembly Republican primary, Pocan’s Republican challenger squeaks by

In the area’s most meaningful race in last week’s primary, Republican candidate Shellie Benish beat opponent Bob Wood by 13 points, with a vote total of 2,826 to 2,139, for a chance to face Dave Considine. One county in the Assembly District 81 race was critical to her victory—Dane, where she nearly doubled up Wood’s vote total 1,027 to 560.
