Alyssa Smith and Abby Walz named quarterly Quality Students by Heights Optimists

The Wisconsin Heights Optimist Club hosted the Quality Students of the Second Quarter and their families at their luncheon meeting January 20 at the Old Feed Mill in Mazomanie. Honored were Alyssa Smith and Abby Walz. Smith, the daughter of Troy and Jennifer Smith, is a seventh grader at Wisconsin Heights Middle School. She is a hard worker in class and a friend and help to her classmates. An excellent student, she recently gave a stellar speech on Yellowstone Park. She is a joy to be with. Walz, the daughter of Karen and Duane Walz, is a senior at Heights. She is talented, thoughtful, and a role model for younger students. Walz is a natural leader who has made many contributions in her four years in FFA. The luncheon speaker was Mazomanie Free Library Director Brian Cole. Cole spoke about the long history of the library, starting in 1878, current and future happenings. Heights Assistant Principal/Athletic Director Kindra Zuberbuehler was welcomed as the newest member of Wisconsin Heights Optimist.
