Sauk City Fire rescues dog from Lake Wisconsin

On March 3rd, Sauk City Fire was called to a residence on Lake Drive in Columbia County for a report of a dog that had fallen through the ice on Lake Wisconsin. Their first crew arrived and found Tubby the dog about 100 feet from the shore trying to get out of the water from a hole he had broken through. Firefighters made their way out onto the ice, pulled Tubby out of the water, and brought him back home where he was reunited with his family. In a post to a local Facebook group, Tubby’s family thanked Sauk City Fire and provided a photo.
