Hockey team wins 2 of 3

Sauk Prairie’s hockey team — which also consists of Mount Horeb, Barneveld, River Valley and Wisconsin Heights — won two of three games last week. The Vikings defeated Baraboo/Portage, 5-0, on Jan. 23. Sauk Prairie also edged Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells, 2-0, on Jan. 25 and dropped a 4-0 decision to Madison West on Jan. 29. Here’s a recap of the Eagles’ week: • Sauk Prairie 5, Baraboo/Portage 0 — The Eagles went on the road and posted a big win. • Sauk Prairie 2, Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells 0 — The Eagles posted a second straight shutout and notched a home win. • Madison West 4, Sauk Prairie 0 — The Regents, who are competing for a Big Eight Conference title, got the better of the Eagles.
