Sauk Prairie Solar Schools aids with Moonshot grant

Sauk Prairie Solar Schools is a community group working toward the goal of placing solar panels on all of the schools in the Sauk Prairie School District to reduce both the district’s utility bills and the negative impact the schools’ consumption of electricity has on the environment. They worked with Superintendent Jeff Wright to obtain the Solar Moonshot grant of $25,000 which can be used to help pay for the installation of solar panels on Sauk Prairie High School. Sauk Prairie Solar Schools members Trang Donovan, Cindy Quam, Laura Lang, Renee Pierce, and Richard Judge are shown with High School Principal Chad Harnisch, Superintendent Jeff Wright, and School Board President James Isaacson. Members of Sauk Prairie Solar Schools not shown are Tom Sullivan, Jeff Virchow, Ellen Paul, Meghan Pierce, and Barclay Schultz. Contact a member or check out Sauk Prairie Solar Schools on Facebook to see how you can contribute to this exciting project.
