Sauk Prairie’s Becca Litscher speaks at Veterans Breakfast in Baraboo


On Friday, May 17, more than 200 Sauk County military veterans and families attended a free ‘Baraboo 21’-sponsored Veterans Breakfast at Baraboo High School. The speaker, pictured, was Rebecca “Becca” Litscher, a member of Sauk Prairie Veterans Foreign Wars Lachmund-Cramer Post 7694. She enlisted in the United States Army in 2000. In 2003 she was deployed to Iraq for 15 months. She described how in the Army, she saw how soldiers lean on each other for support. She saw the evolution of the scars of war. She received the Purple Heart medal for her injury she received in Iraq in service to her country.
