Mazomanie’s John Wick celebrated his 98th birthday at Base Camp with a group of Black Earth Creek paddlers informally known as ‘Gala Yakkers’ recently. He treated the group of 17 area women to lunch and they surprised him with flowers, gifts, and a birthday cake. Wick son John Jr. Can be seen sitting next to his father, at left, in this photo.
