Black Earth business owner Master Miles Varichak opens another Lion’s Den in nearby Spring Green

A lifetime passion has become another business for Miles Varichak. He and his wife Melissa are opening Lion’s Den Taekwondo at 121 W. Jefferson Street in Spring Green. A grand opening is planned for Wednesday, September 11, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Class offerings beginning in September include children, home school and adult Taekwondo, as well as group fitness classes, kickboxing and self-defense seminars. Master Miles began learning Taekwondo when he was five years old. Taekwondo is a Korean martial art that focuses on kicking, it is also a great way to build confidence, discipline, and self-control.  Taekwondo is for everyone, as the program adapts to one’s abilities.  In 2017 Miles, center, pictured with Melissa, right, and son Kollyn, opened his first Taekwondo gym in Black Earth. They live in rural Spring Green. Miles works at the Black Earth Library, runs different recreation center Taekwondo programs, and teaches Taekwondo.  Melissa splits her time between teaching social studies at Richland Center High School and managing the Lion’s Den Association.
