VFW awards students who enlisted in one of five branches of the Military

On Friday, May 30, at the Sauk Prairie High School senior awards ceremony, Sauk Prairie Veterans of Foreign Wars Lachmund-Cramer Post 794 Post Chaplain Kevin Emshoff on the left and Post Commander Dick Nolden, in the middle, presented $100 debit cards to Sauk Prairie High School graduates who enlisted in one of the five branches of the United States military. This is one of the seniors receiving the $100 debit card. VFW Post 7694 presented debit cards to five graduates. Military recruits have limited access to money sources during basic training. They will be able to purchase running shoes or other items in support of their basic training mission. The debit cards can be used at their Post Exchange to purchase those items. The VFW has a special commitment to supporting our troops from day one; Basic Training. Photo contributed.
