The Friends of the Ruth Culver Community Library are excited to be back hosting their 12th annual Golf Outing, Silent Auction and Dinner, after taking off a year due to the pandemic. This fun and important day will be on September 8, 2021 at the Lake Wisconsin Country Club. All proceeds will be donated to the Ruth Culver Community Library in Prairie du Sac.
For the past 12 years through the leadership of the Friends group and many volunteers, this event has continued to this day. It has raised over $103,000 which has been donated to the library for many uses ranging from initial construction costs, books, CDS, programming and new furniture and equipment.
Lauren White, Library Director of the Ruth Culver Community Library, emphasizes the important role of the Friends Group: “Annual contributions from the Friends of the Ruth Culver Community Library are vital to our operations. Without their support, we would not be able to sustain the level of programming that we do or supply our patrons with the volume of materials that we presently hold. The Friends help us provide an elevated level of service to our patrons and help us create a loved, well-used, and educational facility for area residents. They are champions for advocacy and education, two vital components to a thriving library. We are so lucky to have such an active and engaged Friends group!”
