You can find everything from Vienna Beef hot dogs to Italian beefs to Gyros to Maxwell Street Polishes there. While living there he realized something was missing—the food he grew up on—and opened the first Hot Dog Avenue in 2010. Last year, de cided to expand, which led to the Sauk City location. Partygoers donned paper Vienna Beef hats and enjoyed the raffle, and Starzyk got to cut the ribbon on his new restaurant surrounded by the Sauk Prairie community. Photo by Joe Block

The dozens of flags which the Legion Post displays along the one-and-a-half-mile street are displayed for eleven months of the year. Last year, poles were replaced with new ones that have almost eliminated the flag winding problem. Pictured, left to right, Joe Bomkamp, Dennis Wood.
