The village board of Prairie du Sac recognized Wollersheim Winery for fifty years of “history, family heritage, and winemaking” at their meeting last Tuesday night.

At the May 31 Sauk City village board meeting, the board voted 5-2 to go forward with a remodel of the existing Village Hall in 2023.

The subject of ATV/UTVs came before the Prairie du Sac board at their May 24 meeting. Sauk County sent a letter requesting input from the village about opening County Road PF to traffic.

Arena Board plans special meeting to talk about sewer project

The Arena Village Board set a special meeting for Tuesday, May 17, at the request of MSA to review and approve a contract for design, bidding, and construction services for Well #2 in the village. 

Village of Black Earth waives concession fees

The village of Black Earth voted to waive fees for concession stand use by the Wisconsin Heights Youth Tennis and Baseball teams. Board member Tyler Munson came up with the idea, noting they would be able to do a good amount of fundraising if the fees were waived.

Mazo adjusts budget

Prior to the closed session to discuss Black Earth’s police department proposal, the village board of Mazomanie got through nearly 35 agenda items in an efficient 20 minutes, thanks to the direction of Village President Gary Harrop.

Sauk City informally agrees to ATV/UTV routes

The Sauk City board discussed ATV and UTV routes in the village, with members agreeing in principle to them, with the details to be hammered out later. The board is waiting on a map from the Honey Creek ATV/UTV Club of the preferred routes.

The Prairie du Sac board breezed through a 15-minute meeting last Tuesday night with unanimous votes and a short agenda.

Mazo invests in engineering now for future projects

At last week’s meeting, the board denied a request by Mazo Hardware to keep pallets alongside their building. Reasons cited included a lack of room, with the current placement of the right of way. The Fire Department also had concerns about pallets stacked alongside the building.
