JI Construction completed all the underground interceptor sewer and water mains and restored all road and driveway access to gravel for the winter, the Arena Village Board learned at their January meeting.
The Black Earth Village Board approved a $13,000 contract with Ehlers for an electrical rate increase application. Board member Mitch Hodson moved to have a third-party look at the status and cash flows of the electrical utility as well. That independent review will not exceed $1,500 in cost.
The Village of Sauk City welcomed a new tenant to its business park, as Weiner’s Limited committed to constructing their new headquarters there. The owner spoke via Zoom at the board meeting and introduced his business and his plans at the January 9th meeting. The development agreement was approved unanimously by the board.
“There’s really no more action that we can take,” said Black Earth Village President Terry Moyer at their December 5th meeting, concerning a resident’s request that the village essentially fix a Google Maps problem.
The very last agenda item for the Village of Prairie du Sac’s December 12 meeting proved to be the one with the most discussion, as the board—at times led by Lauri Meixelsperger’s clear desire to give someone a second chance—decided to postpone an alcohol operator’s license appeal.
The Village Board of Mazomanie voted unanimously to go forward with a full $2.1 million installation of their third transformer at the west substation at their meeting on December 12. Last year the village purchased a transformer from the Village of Plymouth and had it set at the west substation.
Zach Adams of MSA gave the Arena Village Board an update about ongoing village projects at the regular December meeting. All concrete and masonry work has been completed at wellhouse #2, Adams said. JI Construction has partially restored the area to rough grade around the wellhouse.
