Village of Arena construction woes continue

Ongoing issues with construction on Sharon Street in Arena continue. At the October Arena Village Board meeting, trustees Melissa Bandell, Brittany Carney, Jim Doerflinger, Tami Erspamer, Kristen Shea, Kathy Stoltz and village president Kate Reimann learned that JI Construction is still having problems with dewatering.

Prairie du Sac continues budget presentations

The Village of Prairie du Sac continued their departmental budget presentations at their regular meeting on October 10th. During budget season, the board hears presentations and breakdowns of budgets from each village department.

Mazomanie ponders parcel purchase

The Village of Mazomanie held their board meeting on September 26th, putting the finishing touches on the newly named park on the bluff. The Parks Committee suggested the name of “Mazomanie Bluff” for the entire park.

Prairie du Sac’s Well #5 still a question mark

The village board of Prairie du Sac spent nearly ninety minutes discussing the future well #5 at their September 26 meeting. The lengthy discussion led to a split 3-3 vote on a motion. The board will take up the matter again at a future meeting.

Mazomanie board discusses Mazo Bluff project, water quality stations on Black Earth Creek

The Village of Mazomanie heard about their 2022 audit from Johnson Block at their September 12 meeting. The audit revealed no irregularity in the village’s financials.

Black Earth board reviews electric utility’s history and future

At their September 5th meeting, the Black Earth Village Board spent an extended period of time discussing their electric utility and the future of the used transformer they purchased last year for $451,000, saving themselves $200,000.
