Bruce Gerald Martin, of Prairie du Sac, died unexpectedly December 9, 2023 in Lake Elmo, MN. He was born in 1957, graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 1976, where he was a 3-sport athlete. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Winona State in 1980; there, he was an all-conference quarterback.

BLACK EARTH – Betty Ann Ripp, age 80, passed away peacefully from a stroke on Jan. 2, 2024. She was born Betty Ann Williams on Dec. 29, 1943, in the Town of Berry, the sixth child of Harvey J. and Anna (Ann) Elizabeth Rush Williams. Betty grew up on a farm in Black Earth and graduated from Black Earth High School in 1962.

Robin M. Labeots, age 56, of Reedsburg, WI, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. She was born June 13, 1967 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Ray and June (Stark) Peters. She was united in marriage on October 4, 1991 to Tim Labeots. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Sauk Prairie Healthcare for 25+ years. 

John Kent Mowitz, age 83, unexpectedly passed away in the comfort and privacy of his home on Wednesday, December 20 from cardiac arrest. John was fortunate to have many wonderful people in his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Brenda May (Mills) Jones, 60, of Lake Panasoffkee, FL/Mazomanie, WI passed away after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Avante Hospice in Mount Dora, FL. She was born in Sauk City, WI on May 31, 1963 to the late John & Berniece (Babcock) Mills. Brenda was a 1981 graduate of Wisconsin Heights High School.

Linette Lou (Rowin) Martinsen passed away peacefully on December 18, 2023 at Meadowbrook in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, at the age of 85. 

Linette was born on December 2, 1938, to Naman and May (Everson) Rowin in Elroy, Wisconsin where she grew up with her four sisters, Veda, Wynona, Hazel, and Myrna and brother LaDue. 

Belleville, WI--Jacob R. Hart, passed away Tuesday, December 12th quietly in his home at the age of 30.  Reports show Jacob had an unknown heart abnormality. Apparently, his heart was too big, anyone who knew him would undoubtedly agree. Jacob moved at his own pace through life. He lived a life full of compassion, consideration, and generosity.

Sauk City/Roxbury--Bernice Gertrude (Ziegler) Marx, 100, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023, at Maplewood Village Assisted Living Center in Sauk City, Wisconsin.   She was born on January 23, 1923, on a farm in the Pheasant Branch area of Middleton, Wisconsin, the 7th child of Henry and Gertrude (Kessenich) Ziegler.  

Roger W. Wilkinson, age 79, of North Freedom passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at his home. He was born on April 24, 1944 in Arena, WI, the son of Louis and Doris Wilkinson. He married the love of his life Sharon Berger on August 20, 1966 at the Lutheran Church in Cambria, WI. They were married for 51 years.

Paul Roger Snyder of Mankato, MN was born on April 23, 1942 and walked into the arms of Jesus to spend everlasting life in heaven on December 5, 2023.

Paul was a dedicated servant of his Lord and touched hundreds of lives by witnessing the Gospel of Christ.
