Someone must have broken into our house…

My eyes pop open in the dark when I hear footsteps in the house. The rest of my body remains still, but those orbs, their powers completely stripped away by the night, stand at futile attention while I lie in bed.

With its annual fundraiser behind them, District One EMS Member’s (Black Earth/Mazomanie) have yet another year to be thankful for. Hundreds of residents contributed to their cause, with five being picked for cash prizes. Equipment upgrades along with an automated chest compression (CPR) machine were the target of funds from this year’s event.
