Letter: Is age a plus or minus?

Recently, I was traveling on a Sydney Harbour ferry, when three young people speaking German sat down in front of me. After a while, I spoke in German, asking them where in Germany they were from. Surprised at hearing German, they replied that they were from Hessen.

Letter: America is in different sort of depression

America seems to have developed a case of long-term depression. There are endless strings lies, mass shootings, along with violent attacks on our democratic institutions, and basic freedoms. The Supreme Court seems to have gone off the rails.

Letter: Say ‘no’ to Constitutional amendments

Nature and Society: Making the most of an injury

As we sail into the summer Solstice on the steamy updrafts of the season, it seems unfair that the daylight will now start to diminish a little every day. Long evening twilights full of fireflies should last all summer.

Reedsburg volunteer news for June

June 1st is National Pen Pal Day. Does anyone remember the concept of a pen pal? I have had a long time pen pal from central England. She and I have been in contact through various forms of communication since the late 80s. Letter writing was our first way of communicating.
