Wisconsin Heights School District is inviting community stakeholders to two evenings of conversation and engagement as part of shaping the future of the district. The two-evening event will be April 8th and 10th, in the Middle School/High School Cafeteria. Food and gathering starts at 5:30 p.m. and the listening sessions are from 6 to 8 p.m.
There will be a Sauk Prairie School Board Candidate Forum Monday, March 3, 2025, 7:00 p.m., at Leola Hall, 105 9th St. Prairie du Sac, WI 53578. The Forum is co-hosted by the Sauk Prairie Education Association (SPEA) and the Sauk Prairie Optimists.
The School District of Reedsburg will host a meet-and-greet with the finalists for the superintendent job.
Day in the District will be held Feb. 25. During that time, the finalists will have a chance to tour the schools and meet administrators, staff, students, families, parents and residents.
The Sauk Prairie High School Show Choirs returned to the stage in La Crosse this past weekend, after a mid-season weekend off. The La Crosse Grand Showcase, hosted at La Crosse Logan High School by the now-combined La Crosse School District Show Choirs, featured 11 choirs from 8 schools competing in Treble/Single Voicing, Prep and Open Classes.
Congratulations to this year’s Prediction Run winners! Students in grades 3-5 from Grand Avenue Elementary participated in the Prediction Run that took place on Thursday, October 31st at Grand Avenue. The award ceremony took place on Friday, November 1st at Grand Avenue.

A student whose actions led to a one-day closure of Wisconsin Heights Schools on Friday, January 24th, is facing charges after the Dane County Sheriff’s Office referred Disorderly Conduct charges to the Dane County District Attorney’s Office. The student is a minor and their name has been withheld.
Merrimac students were whisked into space last Thursday as they held a Space Night featuring a planetarium, telescopes, and other fun activities. It was the first community-wide event the school has held since Covid.
