Iverson steps down at Sauk

Clay Iverson was optimistic things would work themselves out.

Iverson, Sauk Prairie’s football coach in 2019 and 2020 and a Business teacher at the high school, was driving every day from Waukesha. Iverson loved what he did, liked where the football program was headed and hoped to eventually move his family to the community.

Patzka shines at Whitewater

Former Wisconsin Heights standout Christian Patzka is currently competing for UW-Whitewater’s track and field team. In Patzka’s collegiate debut recently, he won the one-mile run with a time of 4 minutes, 14.27 seconds. That time ranks in the top-10 in the country among all Division 3 athletes.

End of the road

Wisconsin Heights boys basketball coach Zack Colby knew the challenge was immense.

The Vanguards needed to slow down Fennimore’s 6-foot-9 center Adam Larson in their WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal last Friday.

When Heights couldn’t stop Larson, he stopped their season.

Sauk Prairie drops a thriller

A season to remember came down to one final shot for Sauk Prairie’s boys basketball team last Friday night.

When a last-second attempt from three-point range for senior guard Tyler Uselman came up short, though, the lights went out on a memorable career for nine Eagles seniors.
